Denis earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from California State University, Fresno in 1983. He completed a six-month post-graduate certification program in Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) from the Kaiser Foundation Rehab Center in Vallejo in 1984.
Upon completion of instructing for the PNF Residency Program from 1985 until 1988, Denis went on to obtain a Graduate Diploma in Advanced Manipulative Therapy from the University of South Australia in 1988. In 1994, Denis received an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification and then returned to the University of South Australia in 1997 to complete his Master's in Applied Science in Physiotherapy.
Since 1991, Denis has been on the faculty at the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Orthopedic Fellowship Program in Manual Therapy and Spine and has taught numerous Manual Therapy and PNF courses throughout the US, Australia and Europe. He is also full Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Most recently Denis has joined the faculty of the Neuro Orthopaedic Institute www.noigroup.com and instructs for them throughout the US.
When Denis is not busy at work he enjoys spending time with his wife, Susan, and two children, Shannon and Thomas.
